FAMILY BEING FAMILY

God Has Made Us A Family In Christ For Times Like These

Elders Checking On You Regularly

St. Matthew’s elders will be calling each household in our church. They will call once a month to check-in and see how families are holding up, how we can include them in our prayers, and if they need any assistance with basic life needs – food/basic goods delivery.

If you are sick, immediately contact the church office at 847-382-7002 to let us know. If no one is here, leave a message. Messages are forwarded to our email immediately.

How You Can Connect With Your Church Family

As time drags on, consider pulling out your church directory and calling up other members of our faith family (even ones that you might not know) to see how they are doing if there is anything you can pray about for them. What an easy way to care for one another even if we can’t gather regularly. Consider calling one family you know each week, and one household you don’t.

Care For Our Homebound Members

Many of St. Matthew’s homebound members are in locked-down facilities, though a number of them still live on their own. Monthly communion has halted for the time being since visits can no longer be made. If you are interested in writing cards to our homebound members, let the office know and we can get you their information.

So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. – Galatians 6:10
