Vacation Bible School

June 21-25, 2010

YOU are invited to BAOBAB BLAST – God’s Great Get-Together.  This year’s Vacation Bible School program is set under the impressive baobab tree where kids will hear God’s word, be amazed at God’s wildlife creations, and be a part of a supportive community.  As the sun rises and sets on the savannah, so, too, will faith and relationships grow as kids explore connections with God, family, friends, and others around the world.  The baobab is a gigantic tree found in Africa that creates its own ecosystem, and is one of the world’s oldest life forms. A baobab tree’s hollowed-out trunk, leaves, foliage, nectar, fruit, and bark provide basic life needs for many different creatures.  The tree also serves as a meeting place for many people to gather, discuss, and share stories.  The five Baobab Blast Daily Themes – Trust, Love, Follow, Care, and Share – connect to the theme of community.  Throughout the week, kids will get a consistent message of God’s unconditional love and be encouraged to spread the Word of God both in and out of Baobab Blast.  Kids will see how their faith is part of who they are and how they act in the world.
